The Greater Dallas Prayer Ministry believes the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that in it are truths on which to build an effective prayer life.

Therefore, we desire to inspire people to prayer, encourage deepening prayer life, support existing prayer resources and to offer sound Scriptural training in prayer.

Our mission statement is: "To pray together and to promote prayer."

Our expanded vision statement is: "To encourage prayer among Christians of greater Dallas in harmony with the Scriptures."

1. By uniting in prayer Christians from every culture, race, age, gender and denomination of the Metroplex.
   
2. By involving more people in prayer.
   
3. By encouraging personal and corporate prayer uniting believers worldwide for repentance and revival.
   
4. By intentionally seeking ways to grow in quality and quantity in this prayer ministry to increase our effectiveness.
   
5. By networking with other ministries of prayer.
   
6. By participating in national and global prayer initiatives that are in harmony with our vision.

Some of the ways we fulfill our vision are:

1. Sponsoring regular opportunities for community prayer
2. Hosting prayer events such as seminars and workshops
3. Providing a telephone prayer line
4. Encouraging Internet prayer
5. Providing materials that promote prayer
